Breathwork: Online For Teachers LIVE

Your space. Your breath. Your moment of calm before going back to work.

For teachers, the end of the holidays can bring a familiar shift. Thoughts start turning towards lesson plans, workloads, early mornings and everything waiting for you when you walk back through the school doors. That Sunday evening feeling can begin to creep in — sometimes days before Sunday even arrives.

Breathwork: Online For Teachers is a live, guided online session created specifically to help teachers experiencing back-to-school anxiety and the “Sunday Scaries” quieten a busy mind, release built-up tension and feel calmer about the week ahead.

Join from the comfort and privacy of your own home as you’re guided through breathwork, body awareness and meditation, helping you step away from the mental checklist, settle your nervous system and create some much-needed space between you and the worries about returning to work.

Rather than spending your evening mentally rehearsing tomorrow, give yourself permission to stop, breathe and come back to the present.

No travelling. No rushing. No thinking about Monday for a while.

Just dedicated time for you to breathe, reset and restore — so you can approach the new school week feeling calmer, more grounded and better prepared for what lies ahead.

Create Calm at Home

One of the benefits of online breathwork is being able to experience the session in a space that already feels familiar to you.

Choose somewhere quiet, make yourself comfortable and create an environment where you can switch off for a while. You might dim the lights, grab a blanket, light a candle or simply close the door and give yourself some uninterrupted time.

Once the session finishes, there’s nowhere else you need to be. You can remain in that relaxed space and allow yourself time to enjoy the feeling you’ve created.

Slow Down Through Your Breath

When life becomes busy or stressful, our breathing can change without us even noticing. It may become quicker, shallower or more restricted, reflecting the tension we’re experiencing physically and emotionally.

During Online Calm, you’ll be guided to bring conscious attention back to your breathing.

Using SOMA breathing techniques rooted in ancient wisdom, backed by modern science, we’ll encourage your attention away from the constant stream of thoughts and back towards the present moment. Through rhythmic breathing, music, guided meditation and breath retentions, you can heal both physically, mentally and spiritually.

There’s nothing to achieve and no previous breathwork experience is needed. You simply follow the guidance at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Give Your Mind Somewhere to Rest

Our minds rarely get genuine downtime.

Even when we’re physically resting, we can still be thinking about work, relationships, responsibilities, tomorrow’s plans or something that happened yesterday.

Online Calm creates intentional space away from that mental noise.

By combining conscious breathing with music and guided meditation, the session gives your attention somewhere else to go — away from doing, planning and analysing, and towards simply noticing and experiencing the present moment.

Reconnect With Your Body

When we spend much of our time caught up in our thoughts, it can be easy to lose awareness of what is happening within our bodies.

Throughout the session, you’ll be gently encouraged to notice areas where you may be holding tension and bring your awareness back to physical sensations.

This might mean noticing your shoulders beginning to soften, your jaw relaxing, your breathing becoming deeper or simply becoming more aware of how your body feels when you give it permission to slow down.

These simple moments of awareness can help you feel more grounded, present and connected with yourself.

Take the Calm Beyond the Session

Online Calm isn't only about how you feel during the class.

The breathing and relaxation techniques you experience can also become practical tools to use in everyday life — before a stressful meeting, at the end of a difficult day, when your mind feels particularly busy or whenever you recognise that you need to slow things down.

Over time, becoming more aware of your breathing can help you recognise when tension is beginning to build and give you something simple you can do in response. The breath is both something we unconsciously do and something we can control to change our physical state. Knowing how certain breathing techniques can assist the body is revolutionary.

How You May Feel Afterwards

Everyone experiences breathwork differently, but following your session you may notice:

A quieter, less cluttered mind
Reduced feelings of stress and tension
A greater sense of relaxation
Feeling more grounded and present
Increased awareness of your breathing and body
A sense of having mentally “switched off”
Greater clarity and emotional space
Feeling more prepared for restful sleep or you may feel more energised

What You'll Need

You don't need any specialist equipment or previous experience.

Simply find somewhere comfortable where you’re unlikely to be disturbed. Depending on how you prefer to practise, you may want a yoga mat, bed, sofa or comfortable chair, along with a pillow or cushion, blanket and some water. You may wish to wear an eye mask so you can solely focus on the music and the voice leading you through the session.

You’ll join the class through a live video conference, where you’ll be guided through the entire experience.

Your only job is to get comfortable, follow the guidance and breathe.

Make Space for Yourself

We often wait until we’re completely exhausted before giving ourselves permission to stop.

Breathwork: Online For Teachers LIVE offers another way.

It’s an opportunity to deliberately create space in your week where nothing is expected of you. A space to put down the mental load, turn your attention inward and reconnect with something we all have access to wherever we are — our breath.

Close the door. Quiet the outside world. Get comfortable.

And give yourself permission to simply breathe.
